Continuous 12-inch Wafer Capacity Expansion Accelerates Advanced Process & Silicon Photonics Layout

Yandong Micro maintains steady capacity expansion of its 12-inch wafer production lines while advancing iterative upgrades across multi-node process platforms. The company operates two core business segments: Product & Solution, and Manufacturing & Services. In H1 2025, the Manufacturing & Services segment generated revenue of RMB 333 million, up 18.69% year-over-year, while the Product & Solution segment recorded revenue of RMB 288 million, down 5.5% year-over-year, reflecting robust growth momentum in its foundry and manufacturing service business.

The company’s flagship 28nm 12-inch integrated circuit production line progresses steadily with orderly on-site construction, achieving early structural capping of the main factory and CUB buildings. On the technology front, Yandong Micro pushes parallel development of three advanced process routes covering 55nm, 40nm and 28nm, continuously breaking through core process bottlenecks. Its mature 65nm 12-inch production line sustains iterative platform optimization and product development, attracting multiple tier-one clients and completing mass verification and introduction for over 60 new product models.

The 8-inch wafer line delivers improved operational efficiency and yield stability, with continuous progress in new product iteration and customer expansion. Meanwhile, the 6-inch production line accelerates business structure transformation via optimized product portfolio adjustment, maintaining a stable monthly output of 65,000 wafers to underpin steady revenue contribution from power discrete and analog device businesses.

Expanded Silicon Photonics Layout Builds New High-Growth Pillar

Yandong Micro has built differentiated multi-size wafer process platforms tailored for power semiconductors and silicon photonics. Its 6-inch Si/SiC production line supports a comprehensive device portfolio including TVS, Planar MOS, IGBT, FRD, MEMS, VDMOS and SiC devices. The 8-inch silicon-based platform covers Planar MOS, Trench MOS, FRD, BCD, CMOS and SiN-based silicon photonics processes. The upgraded 12-inch wafer line further expands high-end manufacturing capabilities, enabling mass production of TMBS, Trench MOS, CMOS, LCD driver and advanced silicon photonic chips.

The company actively fosters domestic silicon photonics industrial ecosystem development by integrating complementary advantages of 8-inch and 12-inch CMOS-compatible process lines. It has established a full-chain collaborative development system spanning device design to wafer fabrication. As one of the earliest domestic manufacturers to achieve mass production of silicon photonics process platforms, Yandong Micro has officially released the SiN Silicon Photonic PDK 1.5, with core performance parameters fully recognized by downstream clients. The milestone marks a critical breakthrough for domestic silicon photonic manufacturing technology, completing the industrial transition from laboratory R&D to large-scale commercial mass production and consolidating its first-mover advantages in the localized silicon photonics substitution cycle.
